I have a huge issue. I really don't know how to put this, but my tolerance for Dogs and Cat has gone way down. Literally! People with dogs have gotten so lacks; they think everyone loves their dog, that everyone’s system can handle dogs. I been allergic to animals all my life and on top of that I have asthma so not only do I start itching and swelling up, I can’t breathe! I start wheezing. It really bothers me that people give their pets more respect and consideration than they give people. I get remarks like "oh, he won't bother you" 'yes he will!' I'm allergic stop you "PET" from coming up to me, you don't know me! That’s it right there! people get so formula that their PET could never be a problem, but "IT” is!!!I'm so sick of it.
I went to volunteer at one of AZ state parks visitor center, for some reason that day two people decided to bring their dogs with them, and they even had name tags for their four legged friend! They both felt that if they just kept the animal on the other side of the room I would be fine. NO! NO! I'm allergic to animals! Then to top it off the next day I went to a local yoga class, and the instructor for that day felt it would be fine to have her dog walk all around the studio, in the dressing room, jumping on the bench. When I told her I was allergic she just said ‘oh he’s hypo allergenic” Really? ARE YOU KIDDING ME!! Everyone has lost all faculties when it comes to their pet. They always feel that their pet could never be the one that affects people, oh no not their dog, maybe someone else’s pet but not theirs. This is getting way out of control. If we can get people to stop smoking in public places we should be able to stop people from bring their pet into every situation without thinking about others!!! I really wish I could get someone to address this issue.

Do you believe that an allergist can adequately treat a primary immune deficient patient if the physician has not had a fellowship in immunology?
Do you think a patient with a primary immune disease is well served see a physician who does not treat a large population with primary immune diseases?
My experience is that primary immune deficient patients need so much "care and feeding", documentation, phone calls and such, much of which is not billable, that unless a physician is employed by a major medical center it is not a patient most allergists want to treat in the long term.
